How should bucket teeth be maintained?

01 Due to different working conditions during use, bucket teeth wear to varying degrees.

Therefore, after a period of use, it is advisable to rotate the bucket teeth inside and out to extend the replacement cycle.

02 When operating an excavator, the operator should always keep the bucket teeth perpendicular to the working surface when digging to avoid breaking the teeth due to excessive tilt.

03 Avoid swinging the excavator arm left or right when there is significant resistance. This prevents the bucket teeth and adapters from breaking due to excessive left and right forces. Instead, position the bucket and arm relative to the target and then use a backward dragging method. The biggest advantage of this method is that when significant resistance is generated, the hydraulic system's safety valve automatically adjusts the applied force to the appropriate range.

04 Avoid using the bucket to impact rock during operation. In this situation, the connection between the bucket and the arm is subjected to considerable instantaneous impact force, potentially causing significant bending and deformation, and even cracking.

05 When the tooth adapter is worn down by 10%, it should be replaced. Excessively worn tooth adapters create a large gap between the tooth adapter and the bucket teeth, shifting the stress point and easily causing tooth breakage.
