Material technology is one of the core technologies of bucket teeth for loaders. At present, high manganese steel is the most commonly used material for making bucket teeth. It has high hardness and wear resistance, and can meet the use requirements of bucket teeth in harsh working environments to a certain extent. However, with the continuous improvement of the performance requirements for bucket teeth, materials such as alloy steel are gradually emerging. Alloy steel can further improve the strength, toughness and wear resistance of materials by adding different alloy elements, such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, etc. In addition to traditional metal materials, some new composite materials have also begun to be used in bucket tooth manufacturing. These composite materials are usually composed of two or more materials of different properties through special processes, combining the advantages of multiple materials, and are expected to bring a qualitative leap in bucket tooth performance.
Manufacturing process technology also plays a decisive role in bucket tooth performance. The forging and die casting process is to shape the steel column under high temperature through pressure. This process can make the internal structure of the metal more compact, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the bucket teeth. Bucket teeth that have been forged and die cast have better wear resistance and impact resistance, and their service life is relatively long. However, the forging and die casting process has high requirements for equipment and technology, and is not suitable for producing bucket teeth with too complex structures. Precision casting technology can make up for this deficiency. It has strict requirements on raw materials and high process level, and can produce bucket teeth with complex shapes and precise dimensions.
Design technology is also a key technology that cannot be ignored for loader bucket teeth. Reasonable bucket tooth design can improve its working efficiency and service life. In terms of tooth shape design, there are many options such as sharp teeth and blunt teeth according to different operating requirements and material characteristics. Tire loaders mostly use sharp teeth because the insertion resistance of sharp teeth is small, which can cut into materials more easily and improve loading efficiency; while crawler loaders mostly use blunt teeth, which have better wear resistance and are more suitable for working under harsh working conditions. In the overall structural design of bucket teeth, factors such as the connection method between bucket teeth and buckets and force distribution should be considered. For example, the split bucket tooth design separates the tooth tip and the tooth seat. When the tooth tip is worn, only the tooth tip needs to be replaced, which reduces the cost of use; at the same time, optimizing the connection structure between bucket teeth and buckets can make bucket teeth more stable during work, reduce the risk of loosening and falling off, and improve the safety and reliability of operations.
The material technology, manufacturing process technology and design technology of loader bucket teeth are interrelated and mutually influential, and jointly determine the performance of bucket teeth. With the continuous advancement and innovation of technology, the performance of loader bucket teeth will continue to improve, providing stronger support for the development of the construction machinery industry.
